1. As the skin is the largest organ of elimination, proper cleansing is vital. Gentle circular motions stimulates lymphatic flow. If you wear makeup double cleanse.

2. Avoid harsh soaps and Alkaline shave creams and gels, that strip the skin of lubrication and cause dryness and irritation.

3. Try a power cleanse in the shower. Mixing your daily cleanser with a gentle facial scrub. This removes dead cells leaving skin supple and fresh.

4. Shower before shave. It softens the hair. Lubrication will reduce resistance and make for a closer shave. Shave in direction of hair growth.

5. Spritz a toner to soothe irritation and rehydrate the skin.

6. Moisture Hydration: Drinking two liters a day is vital for a healthy body.

7. Consumption of more than 8 alcoholic beverages per week can contribute to skin dryness and bodily dehydration.

8. Stress is a leading factor in adult Acne. It usually appears along the jaw line. Walk in Nature to assist in stress reduction and stimulate circulation.

9. A hot bath with Epson salt, French Lavender and Lemongrass essential oils is an inexpensive bath soak.

10. Use a hydrating masque three times a week for dehydrated skin. I masque any time I want my skin to look extra fabulous! Yonka Masque 1

11. Always apply serums and moisturizers while skin is damp. Serums contain more active ingredients. Think of it as a multivitamin for your skin.

12. Moisturizers work primarily by creating a barrier on the skin. A good moisturizer acts as a barrier keeping moisture inside the skin.

13. For puffy eyes: Cucumbers in a bowl of water left in the refrigerator Apply to eyes over damp cotton rounds.

14. My two favorite eye and lip treatment are Yonka Alpha contour. And Dermalogica’s Multivitamin lip and eye contour. A must have in a set bag.

16. Mineral Makeup rocks: Glow Minerals include Vitamin C, A, K. E. and Green tea. Plus titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. Great for your skin.

17. Another awesome brand of makeup that I love is Koh Gen Do. It is a professional makeup used on set. It contains Japanese botanicals.

18. Makeup Forever has my current favorite mascara. It is called Smoky Lash. It is worth every penny.

19. For men lash tints are the way to go. Always looks natural, Lasts up to three weeks. A must for actors. Great for women too.

20. My Clients love brow tints. The brows frame your face and brings out your eyes.

21. To achieve a professional makeup look. Brushes are the key. For the eyes I use a thin eyeliner brush. A small brush for placement of shadow and a slighter larger brush to blend shadow.

23. To keep your makeup staying on all day, use a makeup primer. My personal favorite is Vital Silk.

24. Before lipstick exfoliate. Your lipstick will stay on longer. I am obsessed with the Julie Hewett line.

25. Shiny Lip gloss attracts the sun. Protect your lips with Epicuren spf15 lip balm, underneath your gloss.
